Cross Curricular Resources

A charity called Plan International that carries out child-centred community development projects has developed various resources for use in schools. Some of these are now available in French. There are materials for 11-14 year olds on climate change, and for 16-18 year olds on women's rights. The materials can be accessed via their website - http://www.plan-ed.org/learningcentre/mfl/ They include some very good ideas for lessons, along with worksheets and a large resource library of photographs.

If you haven't already stumbled across it, then check out:

One stop shop for flashcards

I've just discovered a Flashcard making section on the Real French website. You can choose whether to print the flashcards with or without the French word or phrase on there, and most S1 and S2 topics are covered. The link is:

This will certainly save hunting around on Google images to create a set of Flashcards.

Good site of the day!

Following my mini research project on perceptions of S2 pupils of the value of studying a foreign language, I found this really useful site with lots of great stuff for teaching kids the value of speaking a foreign language:

http://www.languageswork.org.uk/

There is a specific area on Spanish too, with ready made presentations, booklets and posters.
